An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the housing team at Woking Borough Council.

We are seeking a motivated, flexible, and pro-active person to join our existing Housing Team. The role will involve all aspects of Anti-Social Behabiour in the housing team.

You will advise and work with the housing team and advise on approaches and appropriate actions to cases at all levels, you will also oversee the more complex cases. To do this you will investigate reports of nuiscance, harassment and anti-social behaviour made by tenants, residents, leaseholders and shared owners.

As well as working with Woking Borough Council colleagues you will be expected to liaise with local partners including the police, other social landlords, Domestic Abuse Organisations, Surrey County Council and others as required.

You will provide support and regularly communicate with witnesses throughout a case until resolution or closure maintaining timely case records on the housing management database and case files. Excellent case management is essential.

Where necessary you will identify and pursue legal action such as Notice Of Seeking Possession, Injunctions, Possession Proceedings, briefing solicitors, preparing witness statements, particulars of claim, attending court and acting as a witness where appropriate.

Ideally the candidate will have experience of working and managing anti-social behaviour with a good knowledge of up to do date relevant legislation.

A full driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role.

As this job involves contact with vulnerable groups, successful applicants will be required to obtain a Disclosure Certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Assistance will be given by the Council and further details can be found in the job pack.
