About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well organised, customer focused team. You will be working as part of a small team who are committed to delivering high standards of service to those in housing need.
In this post you will be conducting homeless assessments in line with the Housing Act 1996 as amended by the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and ensure compliance with all statutory processes.
You will conduct comprehensive assessments of an applicant’s housing and support needs as defined under the Act, and to assist the applicant to form a Personalised Housing Plan to either prevent their eviction or assist them with obtaining alternative, secure accommodation. You will be managing an individual caseload and need to have the ability to use a range of IT systems to increase your efficiency.
About you
You must be educated to NVQ Level 4 or with an equivalent level qualification in relevant subject. Previous experience of delivering housing advice is critical for this post. A high standard of written work, excellent communication skills and a high level of customer focus together with ideally experience in writing Section 184 decisions is required for this role.
