Role Overview

We are recruiting for a iDAHV (Identifying Domestic Abuse with Health Visitors) Advocate Educator to join our team in The Gaia Centre in Lambeth, London.

Job Title: iDAHV (Identifying Domestic Abuse with Health Visitors) Advocate Educator

Location: Lambeth, London
Salary: £33,971.00 per annum, including London weighting allowance if applicable
Contract type: Fixed Term (This is a pilot 12-month programme with a possibility of extension), Full Time

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as IDAHV (Identifying Domestic Abuse with Health Visitors) Advocate Educator.

Some of the key accountabilities of this role are to promote the iDAHV programme, to build and maintain effective relationships with health visiting teams, and to enable local health visiting team members to participate in the iDAHV programme. You will be supporting the development of the iDAHV programme during its pilot phase which will include workshop participation, input to training materials and support with evaluation. You will also provide ongoing specialist advice and support around DVA to health visiting teams and provide specialist, individual and needs-led DVA advocacy and support to female patients who are or have experienced DVA who are referred by health visiting teams, ensuring to provide onward referrals where appropriate.

Please note that this post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies. An enhanced DBS will also be required.
