Clinical and Care Professional Leads support south east London-wide and borough programmes of work, therefore, there is an expectation that you currently work within south east London, and for borough based roles, within that borough.

This is a fantastic opportunity for two experienced clinical leaders to join our ICB’s clinical leadership team. The Deputy Medical Directors will have an influential role within the portfolio of the SEL ICB Medical Director. The post holder/s will work as part of the senior leadership team, to provide visible senior strategic, clinical and professional leadership across the system.

Interview date: Week commencing 10 th June 2024

Working closely with the Medical Director, they will be responsible for building partnerships and collaborating with provider collaboratives, public health, local government, the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector and local people to deliver better access, improvements in quality of life outcomes and reductions in health inequality. They will also support our broader community of clinical and professional leaders across our boroughs and programmes through our networks and ongoing development programme. Successful applicants will be expected to take on specific portfolios subject to their professional background end expertise.

From the Catford Cat to the Brixton Windmill and Chislehurst Caves, South East London is a vibrant, fun, unique and richly diverse place to live, grow, learn and work. The South East London Integrated Care System (SELICS) brings together the organisations responsible for health and care services in south east London, making the greatest possible contribution to the health and wellbeing of people living in our six boroughs.

SELICS is made up of staff working in many different roles, in different settings, employed in different ways, by a wide range of partner organisations, and are at the centre of our collective ambition for greater integration and better care. Employing organisations include NHS Trusts, GP practices, Social Care and Voluntary sector organisations, social enterprises, dental surgeries, pharmacies and optometrists.

We have an ambitious People Strategy that brings these partners together to deliver the ‘one workforce’ ambition, making the health and care system a better place to work and live.
